=== JULY 12TH FIREWORKS AND WAKEBOARD DEMO ===
The team from Raging Buffalo, Liquid Sports, and Chicago Mastercraft will be performing a wakeboarding demonstration at this year’s Picnic in the Park fireworks show put on by the village of Fox River Grove. This annual event is one of the summer’s highlights along the river and can be viewed on land or by boat. The wakeboard show will start at 7pm and features the top local riders throwing down what they do best.  The fireworks follow at dark at Picnic Grove Park. Go carting

June 9th, 2008

Katie and I went to Chicago Indoor Racing this past weekend for some go cart racing. That was our first time and I’ll tell you what, it was awesome! We ended up racing 3 races each and had a blast. Katie is kinda banged up from the carts, but she says she still had a great time.

Hopefully we can organize a large group and go there again. Now that the river is flooded, this might be an option for one of these coming weekends.

Laura Lohrmann took 2nd place at the Wake Games this past weekend!! Thats AWESOME for her, us midwest riders and www.liquidsportsonline.com!! Keep up the great riding Laura and Congratulations from all of us!!

From the wake games website:

In the Pro Women’s Division, Eight riders battled on the water today in the semifinals to see which four female rippers will advance to Sunday’s finals. All eyes were on the frontrunner, Orlando native and four-time X Games gold medalist Dallas Friday, but Aussie Amber Wing and the U.K.’s Nicola Butler pulled-off the upset to take the top-two spots in the heat. Wing and Butler will be joined by Laura Lohrmann and Barrett Pearlman for Sunday’s finals.

Pro Women Finals
1. Butler, Nicola UK 60.00
2. Lohrmann, Laura USA 51.11
3. Perlman, Barrett USA 48.33
4. Wing, Amber AUS 31.11

This is her first time on a podium, and she’s pretty stoked.
It’s a pretty great start to her season.

Congratulations Laura, keep up the good work!!

Tim Damrom summed it up perfectly when he said this: Nice work! And good luck, I’m sure it is all because of Vince’s hardcore training regiment he has you on.

And Laura D’s was awesome too:

Give me an L…

Give me another L….

What’s that spell?!?!

BADASS!!!

The Soulriders in Cartoons…

April 15th, 2008

Side Note: We are heading to Koontz Lake this weekend to start opening up the cottage! If anyone wants to join us, you’re more than welcome. We could always use the help and you know it’s always a good time! Let me or Mike know…

Now the fun stuff: So there’s this guy who frequents local establishments in the Wrigley neighborhood and he’s kind of known for his drawings. A bunch of us went to the Cubby Bear on Sunday for brunch and he just happened to sit behind us. We had no idea what was going on or what he was doing until he showed us the finished product. I’ve edited it slightly to capture the SR crew in attendance. From left to right, if you’re wondering: Va-JJ, BK, Pat, J9, Lex, Mike (aka Mr. Clean), LD, Bex and Rupie… CLASSIC!!
